Megan Enticknap Media Studies Coursework
This is the blog I have created for my music magazine coursework project. Over the course of this blog, I will show you how I have been building up ideas for my music magazine.
• I am particularly interested in a lot of different music, from metal to pop.
• The most natural choice of magazine for me to study is Kerrang magazine.
• Kerrang magazine is a magazine for all ages but specifically young adults, that enjoy listening to a wide range of rock music, metal, indie and other subcultures similar to the three listed.
• Between July 2009 and June 2010, a total of 258 men have been reading Kerrang magazine and 164 women, giving a total of 421 readers. 389 of those readers are between the ages of 15 and 44, whereas only 32 of the readers were 45 and older.

  1. Nice research. Could you find any links to music magazine websites that you can add here as inspiration? Also, your choice of music seems quite broad. Did you decide on a USP for your own magazine, perhaps by focusing on a young age range like 14-18?
